Howdy all!

As I write this, we are T-minus 10 hours or so to go before it’s 2025. And you may be wondering, what the heck are you doing working on NYE?!

For as long as I can remember, the holiday break is one of my favorite times to log into the office. Unlike summer, where everyone takes different weeks off, the whole world essentially shuts down between Christmas and New Years.

I think I’ve gotten a total of 10 emails all day every day, a far cry from the hundreds I receive all week long.

It’s a great time to take stock of where I’m at, and look ahead to what I’ve got planned.

So with that in mind, we have some exciting news!

Global Comix Names Dren’s Flesh Eating Cheerleaders Series one of its Most Popular Series of 2024

Woke up to a message from Dren Publisher James Mascia. The fine folks at Global Comix posted this to their Instagram account today.

FEC is number two in Creator-Owned titles. Not too shabby! Global Comix is the leader filling the digital comics void following Comixology’s sale to Amazon. It’s an online platform for publishing, reading, and discovering comics from creators and publishers worldwide.

And as I mentioned in my last stack, there are big things coming in 2025 from Sire Studios and Dren Productions. Stay tuned!

Celebrating 2024

Can’t usher in 2025 without giving thanks to everyone who made 2024 such an amazing year. A lot of folks seemed down on 2024. Not me. Head down, keep the outside noise out and move forward. That’s my attitude and that’s what I did. A few notables this past year:

I can’t really look back on 2024 as anything but a success. Let’s hope for more in 2025.

New Music

I was asked recently by a relative of mine. “Hey, what the heck happened to you releasing the A.G.O. album.”

Oops.

Kind of got caught in the list above. I’ll do better. Right now. Introducing Brink and Be Still (Dark Mind), the next two songs in the A.G.O. album I named Eleven (after the amount of time in-between recording and completion of the album).

Brink – Brink was the song that would have easily been our single. It’s a softer song that contemplates change before defiantly telling the world to eff-off. I’ll be fine. We’ll be fine. We’ll overcome.

Be Still (Dark Mind) – This one was conceived by our bassist Hassan Godwin. As he told us years ago, he never had confidence a band could pull off what he had in mind…until he found us. It’s got some punch to it and yes, the bass line is killer.

Ok that’s all I got this week. And now we’re T-minus 9 hours and counting. So to you and yours, Happy New Year!
